BIOFIRE Bio Fireplaces

For those who love the classic fire — without its drawbacks!
A bio fireplace is a decorative device designed to create real flames, operating on eco-friendly fuel (bioethanol).
Its working principle is based on burning liquid bioethanol, which transforms into heat and water vapor — ensuring safe, clean combustion without emitting carbon monoxide, smoke, or soot.

Advantages and Features of a Bio Fireplace

A bio fireplace is the perfect combination of design, convenience, and eco-friendliness — suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
  • Eco-Friendliness

The combustion of bioethanol produces no harmful substances, smoke, soot, or residue.
  • Ease of Installation

Requires no chimney or ventilation system.
  • User Convenience

Easy refueling, quick ignition, and simple extinguishing process.
  • Aesthetics and Comfort

A realistic, steady flame creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.
  • Safety

When used correctly, the risk of fire is minimal; however, it is important to avoid fuel spills and keep open flames away from flammable materials.

Main Components of a Bio Fireplace:

  • Burner
    • A special metal reservoir where bioethanol is poured.
    • Equipped with heat-resistant materials and a system that prevents fuel leakage.
    • The burner’s design ensures even and stable combustion.
  • Body
    • Made of heat-resistant materials such as glass, metal, or concrete, protecting the surroundings from flame exposure.
    • Often complemented by decorative elements like stones, glass panels, or grilles.
  • Bioethanol
    • An eco-friendly fuel made from plant-based components (corn, sugarcane, beet).
    • Burns without releasing toxins, smoke, soot, or odor.
    • When burned, it produces heat, small amounts of carbon dioxide, and water vapor.

Stages of Operation of a Bio Fireplace

Filling
Bioethanol is poured into the burner up to the specified level (usually ⅔ of the reservoir’s volume).
  • For safety, a special funnel is used to prevent fuel spillage.
Ignition
The fuel is ignited with a long lighter or matches.
  • During the first few minutes, the flame may be uneven until the biofuel reaches operating temperature.
Combustion
Bioethanol burns, releasing only heat, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
The flame can be adjusted using dampers, if provided in the design.
  • On average, one filling burns for 2 to 5 hours, depending on the burner's capacity.
Extinguishing
To prevent unwanted odors, there’s no need to extinguish the bio fireplace — the fuel should burn out completely inside the burner.
